PRIMARY FUNCTION: The VDC Engineer I assists the VDC staff on project assignments, business development pursuits and process documentation.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: VDC Engineer I typical responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Create virtual mock-ups and other modeling activities
  • Produce construction phase VDC reports, meeting minutes and schedule updates

 EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • BS or MS degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Basic understanding of computers (CPU, RAM, hard drives, video cards)
  • Functional use of Microsoft Office, Revit and AutoCad
  • Ability to effectively communicate via verbal, written, and graphical mediums with architects, engineers, trade contractors and Gilbane project teams
