PRIMARY FUNCTION:  The Senior Project Engineer assists the Project Manager in establishing, distributing, routing plans and ensuring all information is being distributed properly both internally and externally.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Senior Project Engineer typical responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Oversight of all Mechanical and Electrical systems, including, but not limited to, Elevator, HVAC, Plumbing, Hydronic, Fire Suppression, Fire Alarm, SCADA, DDC, Telecommunication and Security. This includes procurement, submittal development and review, and field construction activities
  • Coordination of all special inspections, 3rd party testing, and seismic designs associated with the mechanical and electrical systems
  • Coordination with the TAB/DALT, Commissioning, and Performance Verification Testing (PVT) subcontractors
  • Manage RFI process
  • Prepare monthly pay request
  • Maintain current redline drawings
  • Manage schedules and coordination with project scheduler and project cost engineers
  • Become familiar with contracts, general conditions and flow down language
  • Perform constructability and coordination reviews
  • Write scopes of work for all bid packages; assist with bid openings and bid tabulations
  • Estimate and process change orders
  • Negotiate changes with subcontractor and owners
  • Coordinate post construction submittals, commissioning reports, PVT reports, and onsite training
  • Facilitate project meetings


  • BS OR MS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering highly preferred, or Construction Management degree
  • 8 or more years with CM/General Contractor Organization working on large ($70-$120 mm) construction project
  • 5 years of experience managing DoD or other Federal Government Constructions projects
  • Per client’s requirements, must be a U.S. citizen
  • Possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain a minimum Secret clearance
  • Have the ability to obtain Status of Force Agreement (SOFA) status for Korea and International Driver’s License
  • Experience working on CAA or ICD 705 projects is preferred
  • US Army Corp of Engineers experience is preferred
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience


  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Financial Management familiarity
  • Proven record of meeting organizational and personal goals while delivering results to a standard of excellence
  • Demonstrated understanding of success metrics and risks associated with one’s program, business unit or portfolio of projects
  • Continually seek to understand customer goals and needs and act with a sense of urgency in meeting customer needs and demonstrating value
  • Adjust effectively to work within new structures, processes, requirements and culture
  • OSHA 10-Hour Certified
  • MEP Knowledge
  • Understanding of Contract Document, Drawings, and Specifications
  • QCS/RMS experience is a plus
