PRIMARY FUNCTION:  The MEP Superintendent performs basic office and field engineering duties that are MEP related, while assisting the MEP Coordinator with the coordination of trade contractors to maintain high safety and quality standards.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

MEP Superintendent typical responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Review MEP submittals for compliance to contract documents
  • Review and validate costs on basic changes
  • Assist in preparation and issuing of MEP bid packages and supplements
  • Research and initiate RFI’s and responses; review RFI responses
  • Review Material Status Reports for completeness and follow up as needed
  • Establish and maintain the project quality files and documentation systems for MEP systems

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

  • BS OR MS degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
  • 2-6 year related field experience
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to collaborate on a daily basis with the project team
  • Must be MEP construction-document and drawing literate, with knowledge of all phases of construction
  • OSHA 30 hour certified
