PRIMARY FUNCTION: Instructional Designer provides tactical development and implementation of in-house training services that educate others on the use of internal and external Gilbane software applications, procedures/best practices, and services.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Instructional Designer typical responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop and implement training courses under the supervision of the Learning and Development manager or their designee
  • Aligns instruction in accordance with needs assessment
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to elicit, synthesize, and validate
  • Design presentations that that effectively engage and communicate with all audiences
  • Create success measures and reports on business impact as well other training evaluation measures
  • Develop and create learning messages that accommodate learner needs and characteristics, content, and objectives
  • Apply developments in instructional design and related fields to instructional design practice.
  • Ability to learn and apply new concepts and technologies

 

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • BS or MS degree
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Effective interaction skills with clients and management
  • Excellent writing skills, including business communications and client information
  • Outstanding interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to learn new concepts quickly
